Kevin Owens has had his share of exciting matches that featured him even at WrestleMania. Besides getting to manhandle the Chairman of the company, he wrestled Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan at the main event as well.

However, Owens is still not satisfied with one particular match that he felt could have gone a lot better. This would be the one against former  WWE Universal Champion Goldberg.

In a recent interview with Metro UK, Kevin Owens expressed his dissatisfaction with the match he had against ‘The Iconic’. He also seems to be for a rematch.

“I’d love to work with him again if he was here to work,” said Owens. “I’m not saying this is his fault, but he’s not – his career has never been about long matches or anything like that. To me, I don’t see much positive out of wrestling him for two minutes, or 20 seconds or 30 seconds or whatever, you know what I mean?”

“I’d love to work with him again if you got to do a story beyond – all we did was, what, two weeks, maybe three weeks? If we got to do some cool stuff, and some cool promos, exchange back and forth and then have a quality match, that’d be great.”

Kevin Owens wants more than just 30 seconds with Goldberg

Kevin Owens had one match against Goldberg at Fastlane 2017 for the WWE Universal Championship. However, the match didn’t even cross 30 seconds and was a quick finish by Goldberg.

Owens would like a proper length match in which he could actually face the arsenal of Goldberg and reciprocate.

“But that’s just not usually what he’s here for. [His style] works. I’m not saying anything against that, it’s just not what I’m interested in,” said Owens. “As a fan, I’ve never been interested in that stuff. Even when he was in WCW, I didn’t really like it. That’s just not what I look for in my wrestling.”

Goldberg does not have Kevin Owens on his agenda. He has his eyes currently set on Roman Reigns as ‘The Tribal Chief’ gets bigger every day.

We certainly hope Roman Reigns does not have the same complaints as Kevin Owens does a year down the line. Goldberg will have to bring all he’s got to the ring in that match.
