The Undertaker was one of the most experienced Superstars on the WWE roster before announcing his retirement last year at Survivor Series. ‘The Deadman’ was known for never breaking his character inside and outside the ring and was widely respected for this.
However, Taker has been less reluctant to break the fourth wall since his retirement. Unlike his on-screen character that instills fear in the hearts of opponents, Mark Calaway has shown that he is a family man like everyone else who likes to have a good time with his wife and children.
While many criticise this break of kayfabe by Taker, WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has different opinions. In a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, ‘The Rattlesnake’ revealed his thought on The Undertaker today.

“I’m as big a fan of the business as anybody. And I understand Kayfabe, I understand protecting the business. When it’s time to ride off into the sunset, if Mark Calaway never talked about being The Undertaker, why shouldn’t he have that opportunity to do that, just like anybody else? Because he can’t be The Undertaker anymore,” explained Austin.
“He can make an appearance on Raw, or whatever. But now, it’s time to live his life. And the majority of his life was being that guy. So I think it’s great for him to do it. It doesn’t bother me in the least,” concluded the former WWE Champion.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin has nothing against The Undertaker enjoying life
The Undertaker seems to be enjoying his life away from the ring. For the first time, fans are getting used to seeing Mark Calaway instead of the ominous ‘Deadman’ that sent his opponents to the grave.

After 30 years of staying in character, even Taker deserves a break and he is finally embracing the part of his life that does not involve wrestling.
Calaway can’t be The Undertaker forever, and Austin tried to explain that to fans. We still have to get used to seeing The Undertaker being a normal human being, but it is fun to see him being himself.
