WWE Raw Legends Night has already seen some big promos and memorable returns in the first part of the show.

Teddy Long made a big return to set The New Day and The Miz & John Morrison up with a match against The Undertaker! However, he was probably informed by Adam Pearce that Taker had retired, so he set up their tag team match, also in iconic style.

In a promo later, we saw former WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox show up. This was the first time we got to see the Superstar since her sudden writing off years ago.

Angel Garza, the new 24/7 Champion, was seen backstage, roaming with his typical ‘holding a rose’ persona. Seeing Alicia Fox, he was visibly blown away and attempted to show off his new gold.

Garza then stumbled on Sgt. Slaughter, Tatanka, and Mickie James. All looking exactly the same since their wrestling days, Garza could not use his abilities to charm the straight-faced Slaughter and was driven away quickly.

WWE tried to attract viewership with a unique edition of Raw

The night has been characterized by several of the promotion’s legends returning to deliver backstage promos. This was a unique addition to the current lineup of matches on Raw as a way to keep things interesting.

Raw has been struggling with viewership ratings ever since the fans left the stands last year in March. The show lost nearly a million of its viewership and has failed to cross the 2 million mark like SmackDown.

Legends Night was a way to keep things going and promise its viewers some good content for the future. 2021 started off on the right foot as it was surely a spectacle to see the beloved Hall of Famers and their gimmicks return.
