WWE Raw Legends Night saw the return of some huge names. Although many people believed that it would just be a gathering, the legends appeared in backstage segments. The most memorable meeting of the night was between Drew McIntyre and Hulk Hogan.

The WWE Champion was talking with his friend Sheamus backstage when Hogan showed up along with WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart in what looked like a true meeting between the past and present of WWE.

Hogan, unlike many of his promos back in the day, was full of praise for McIntyre. The former WWE megastar expressed his admiration for Drew’s ability to carry Raw and WWE through the pandemic without the fans.

McIntyre was visibly taken by surprise by Hogan’s words as there is no higher achievement than getting praised by Hogan himself. However, they did find a target in Sheamus.

On being compared to himself by Hogan, ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ asked the Hall of Famer if Sheamus reminded him of his partner Jimmy Hart! Taking it personally, Sheamus assured the two that they weren’t funny at all.

Hulk Hogan recognized the future of WWE in Drew McIntyre

McIntyre and Hogan then ended the segment with an iconic Hogan catchphrase- “Whatcha gonna do?” The entire thing felt like a nostalgic reminder of the good old days in the WWF and was certainly must watch.

Drew McIntyre has long been the face of the company. One can call him a ‘lockdown Champion’ who has held the place together even in the absence of fans.

Hogan, who was the face of the company himself for a long time, gave symbolic approval to Drew’s reign over the company. The Champion grew up watching men like Hogan and his words may have meant everything.

Hogan’s words may be an ego boost for the big man, and he can’t possibly get any better. Or can he?
