Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode shocked the WWE Universe by beating the Street Profits to win the WWE SmackDown tag team championships last night on SmackDown.

The duo has finally won themselves some gold, months after being in association with each other. They have come a long way and deserved the titles, but the two had interesting things to say after.

Following their victory, Ziggler and Roode made an interesting new years resolution and had a lot of other things to say in a backstage interview. You can watch it yourself in the video attached below.

As you can see, Ziggler and Roode want to main event WrestleMania as Champions. This would be the first-ever tag team title defense for the main event of WrestleMania.

The two want to defend their titles in a legendary match against worthy opponents and seem determined to make the most of their run.

Dolph Ziggler has been vastly under-utilized by WWE so far in his career. Apart from a small push for his intercontinental title, he never really reached his true potential.

However, Ziggler seems to have a new life now in his partnership with Robert Roode. His run as Tag Team Champion with Roode could be just the thing his career needs.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode can boost WWE’s Tag Team Division

WWE has been struggling in the tag team part of its proceedings. The lack of exciting teams and even a tag team roster in both the men and women’s divisions speaks volumes to how much Ziggler and Roode can help.

The two can be the new leaders of the Tag Team revival. If the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions play their cards right, they may just get their wish.
