WWE fans are in for a shocker at Survivor Series 2020. While Raw vs SmackDown is definitely going to be a closely contested affair, there is one match that will be an absolute blow out.
According to recent reports from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the match between United States Champion Bobby Lashley and Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn will be a “squash”.

WWE plans on making Lashley win through a very dominant performance. The fight may be over in seconds or may just last a few minutes. ‘The All-Mighty’ will surely pick up the win.
Sami Zayn is a very experienced wrestler and is arguably one of the best in the world right now. His heat in SmackDown has him on a lot of momentum going into Survivor Series.
Many expected his match against Lashley to be a given point for the blue brand but it seems that WWE has other ideas. Lashley will win the match in an upset, but will also destroy Zayn in the process.
“Even though Sami Zayn is much better than Bobby Lashley, they’re gonna work it as a squash,” reports Meltzer.
WWE is pushing Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Business on Raw
It is no secret that WWE is pushing the Hurt Business angle a lot. The group has been appearing regularly on Monday Night Raw for months and is the bloodline of the show in ways.
Bobby Lashley is being promoted as the strong and dominant star so making him lose would be against WWE’s storyline interests. We could see the United States Champion evolve into the next Brock Lesnar.

However, the impact the loss could have on Sami Zayn is a concern. Unlike Goldberg’s destruction of Lesnar, Zayn cannot continue the Lashley feud due to the brand split. He can, however, continue his Twitter attack on the United States Champion.

This means that ‘The Untouchable’ will go out of Survivor Series as the big loser. We don’t quite know what WWE has in mind here, or if pushing Lashley through the steamrolling of Zayn is the best move.
