The Hurt Business imploded on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw when WWE Champion Bobby Lashley sent Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin to the floor. Writing them off as weak links to his dominance, ‘The All Mighty’ and MVP cast them out and ended one of the most dominant factions in the company.
Although Alexander and Benjamin may be done with The Hurt Business, The Hurt Business itself may not be done. In a recent post on Twitter, MVP opened up the faction to new members, and it seems as if he is planning to fill in the vacancy with reliable backup.
To be clear, Bobby Lashley and MVP are The Hurt Business.

“Bobby Lashley and MVP are The Hurt Business” is as powerful a statement as you can come across. This means that Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin were just pawns to get Lashley where he needed to be.
The former Raw Tag Team Champions acted as the enforcers of the faction and made Lashley look like the next big thing. Now that he is the current big thing, he finds no need of the two.
MVP was not impressed with Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin
MVP was also disappointed in Alexander and Benjamin’s performances of late. The mounting losses did not reflect well on him, and their loss in the handicap match against Drew McIntyre may have been the last straw.
We are eager to see who’s next in line to join The Hurt Business. On the latest episode of Raw, Ricochet stepped up to Bobby Lashley’s bounty on Drew’s head. If things fall in place, we may see Ricochet himself heading to the faction to oppose Drew McIntyre.
Bobby Lashley may have cut the dead weight off his shoulders. However, things may not pan out well for him. Did he really think this through?

Without backup, there’s no one to help him at WrestleMania in his match against Drew McIntyre. Alexander and Benjamin could have tipped the scales in his favor with some sort of interference, but it seems as if it will be one-on-one now.
Unless MVP finds replacements fast, The Hurt Business will be The Hurt Duo, which makes things a lot harder for the Champion. Without backup, there’s no one watching your back.
