It’s not uncommon for big names from other sports to make an appearance in the wrestling ring. Men like Rob Gronkowski, Pat McAfee, and Mike Tyson have all made huge appearances in WWE and have lit the stage on fire every time.

However, one of the biggest show-ups of them all was NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal at WrestleMania 32 for the 3rd annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale.

The crowd erupted in cheers when his music hit, and he made his way down to the ring. The gigantic man stepped over the top rope, towering above every Superstar in there.

The spectacle was admired by WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who was present at the time of Shaq’s arrival. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ speculated on what Shaq’s life would have been like had he chosen wrestling over basketball.

“If he didn’t get into basketball, he definitely would have succeeded in the world of WWE. One-hundred percent, based on the size alone,” said McIntyre. “He would have been a heck of a WWE Superstar — a spectacle — like an Andre the Giant, but add on that personality on top of it? That’s box office.”

Big Show was not happy about Shaquille O’Neal’s superior height

Drew McIntyre reveals that the major confrontation between Big Show and Shaq was thrilling, but Show wasn’t too thrilled about the NBA legend being so much taller than him.

“I have been around Shaq, multiple times, over the years. As we know, Shaq appears everywhere, he’s a very busy man. He keeps himself busy and he’s shown up in WWE a few times. I was there when himself and the Big Show had a face-off. Shaq is considerably taller, which I don’t think Big Show was so happy about,” said Drew. “He’s a big, big man, and very charismatic.”

WWE has found its own giant now, who is just as tough as Shaq, and his name is Omos. If Drew McIntyre wants a big man like Shaq as a wrestler, he need not look far but just above AJ Styles.
