On the latest edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, The IIconics locked horns with Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan. The two teams faced in a No.1 contender match to challenge Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for the Tag Team Championships.

Interestingly, the big twist was that the losing team would get disbanded. Sadly for the Aussie unit, Ruby Riott ended the match by pinning Billie Kay. The three-count meant the IIconics are no longer a team.

According to rumors, the IIconics break-up was decided months in advance. According to Dave Meltzer, Vince McMahon sees Bianca Belair and Peyton Royce as huge singles stars.

A friendship that will last forever outside of the WWE

It is no secret that Peyton Royce and Billie Kay are very close to each other. They are together almost everywhere and almost all the time. Recently, Billie Kay accompanied Peyton Royce to her bodybuilding competition.

They are friends since many years. Both the Superstars went to high school together and trained together sharing the same professional wrestling dream.

In May 2015, they signed with NXT. In a few years, they reached the top heel status in the NXT Women’s divison. Their impressive performances in NXT earned them a call up to the main roster.

The two childhood friends realized their dreams at WrestleMania 35. Their years of hard work paid off when both the friends captured the Women’s Tag Team Championships at the ‘Showcase of the Immortals.’

As mentioned above, Vince McMahon holds Peyton Royce in very high regard as a singles Superstar. However, what does this mean for Billie Kay? The upward trajectory of her best friend might push her into the downward spiral.
