Retribution finally unmasked themselves in style on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. The most popular topic about the moment were the hilarious names given to each member. However, amid it all, comparisons have been drawn between the leader of the group, T-Bar, and NXT Champion Finn Bálor.
Something that fans are not aware of is that Finn Bálor sported a lot of different costumes before joining WWE. During his time in Japan and across various independent promotions, Bálor was known for his spectacular ring looks.

The NXT Champion has dressed up as the Joker, Spiderman, and Hannibal Lecter among the popular Superhero characters. He has also sported unique character inks such as the Black Dove, the Real Rock n Rolla, and of course “The Demon.”
On one of his appearances in the RevPro show, Bálor dressed up as the popular DC Comics villain Bane. Wearing the iconic brown fur coat and the mask, Bálor made one of the coolest entrances.
What’s even better is that he beat up two wrestlers dressed as cops, which made it like a typical scene from The Dark Knight Rises.
Finn Bálor will not bring out his other characters anymore
His costume looks an awful lot familiar with the new Retribution members. Many fans also thought that Bálor would be in on this, but that is pure speculation for now.

WWE has been trying to get Bálor back to his famous ink outfits, but the Irishman claims that those days are behind him. He wants to establish himself as Finn Bálor and not “The Demon.”
As his extremely popular gimmick, a lot of fans want “The Demon” who exudes a more powerful version of Finn Bálor. However, he feels that the masked character is like a crutch for him to lean on, which he does not want.

Will we see Bane return to the shadowy theme of NXT? Probably not, but we will surely see enough of masked villains on Monday Night Raw in the next few weeks.
