Mustafa Ali posted a video from The Message WWE Twitter Account to explain why the Retribution members have masks and unusual names.
According to the Retribution leader, the idea behind the masks and names was to put the members in his shoes. He wanted them to understand how Ali feels for being judged because of his name and his looks.
The segment ended with Mustafa Ali leaning back in his chair, exposing everyone’s masks. Almost all the members have retweeted this video on their accounts.

Mustafa Ali reveals his plans for WWE Raw
It is possible that this promo is the second part of an earlier tweet from his official account. There, he warned everyone that Retribution will continue to exist regardless of whether anyone has faith in them.
He made a promise to turn things around on the latest episode of WWE Raw.
Tomorrow on #WWERAW I turn this ship around.
But I don’t want you to change. I want you to continue to ignore the warning. I want you to continue having no faith in us.
After all, “having no faith in us” is what made us in the first place.#RETRIBUTION pic.twitter.com/IO6rdnaVUX

Lately, Retribution has not been doing great. On the last couple of WWE Raw episodes, The Hurt Business brutally injured the Retribution members.
Additionally, The Fiend took out all the members of Retribution by himself after they attempted to take him down in the ring while he stood with Alexa Bliss.
Retribution’s fall and rise on WWE Raw
The first time when Retribution introduced themselves, the suspense element worked out massively in their favour. It intrigued the audience to know who the members were and when the company would reveal the names.
Soon after, when Retribution revealed themselves, there was a drop in interest. The audience did not respond to the revelation as much as they did to Retribution when the suspense element was intact.
Finally, Mustafa Ali revealing himself as Retribution’s leader turned things around for the faction. The interest piqued again, and Retribution was back under the audience’s spotlight.

WWE will need to work on Retribution’s storyline if the faction wants to survive on a stacked Monday Night Raw roster. Currently, the Red Brand is being ruled by the storyline between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre.

Last week’s episode showed a possible storyline between the faction and The Fiend. If this moves forward, Retribution will have a second chance at fame.
