We bet you’ve heard everything good about Mustafa Ali today. On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, the Superstar was revealed to be the true leader of Retribution in a shocking turn of events. Now, we hope you’re ready for the bad part of it.
WWE orchestrated Ali’s role in Retribution to perfection. Just when fans thought Raw had yet again flopped with the content, out came the surprise.

Although Ali fits the purpose of Retribution and all the signs make sense, we could not help but notice some things not pulled off well during the segment.
One gaping fact is that WWE has promoted T-Bar of Retribution far too much. The supposed leader of the faction went viral several times on Twitter.
T-Bar, formerly known as Dominik Dijakovic, acted as the loudmouth of WWE and trolled the likes of Chris Jericho and Eric Bischoff of AEW. He also released hilarious comments on other WWE Superstars, and the company has a whole.
Fans really grew on T-Bar, so it’s heartbreaking to see him be sidelined. The WWE Universe had come around to accepting him as the leader of Retribution.
Mustafa Ali and Retribution should have closed Raw
The other headline question: Why didn’t the Retribution segment close Raw?
In one of the most shocking events of the year, WWE revealed Mustafa Ali as the new leader of Retribution. Fans went crazy on social media about the news as Ali had pulled off the perfect stunner.
Yet, Raw continued long after this moment. The fact that the show went on took a lot of the ‘Boom!’ out of the entire moment. WWE could have had a dramatic ending if they placed this segment at the end of the show.
Another factor that WWE did not consider was how the storyline would continue. We do not know what will happen to Apollo Crews and Ricochet. There is a high chance that one of those two will be drafted to SmackDown soon.

We still have no idea how the prolonged storyline with Hurt Business will go on. Obviously, their feud with Retribution will continue, but there is no way they will come out on top for at least a few more weeks. This could result in Lashley being pushed down yet again.
WWE could do a lot with Mustafa Ali, but the company has to watch out for the others very carefully. If the cards are played properly, the entire gimmick may work out perfectly.
