WWE Monday Night Raw isn’t the same as it used to be. The brand is lacking a lot and the want for a fresh breath of air is evident. The claustrophobia of using the same old storylines is really getting on the nerves of fans.

The main part of Raw that is being dragged through the mud right now is the Women’s division. The brand has Asuka, and….?

The lack of top female Superstars on Raw has made the division very monotonous. Mickie James is also a prominent name but can no longer influence rating as she could. The truth is that Asuka has the entire responsibility on her shoulders.

Raw’s women’s division once had the likes of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Sasha Banks. Unfortunately, it has plummeted to the ground during the lockdown period.

Becky Lynch had to take leave from wrestling due to her pregnancy and Charlotte Flair was drafted to SmackDown. With Sasha Banks and Asuka, the storylines were still great.

However, during the “Golden Role Models” era, Sasha Banks slowly moved into SmackDown after losing the Raw Women’s Championship. This led to a huge split in ratings due to the popularity of Banks.

Raw’s biggest problem right now is the fact that it has a lot of developmental talents. The female Superstars in Raw need pushes and haven’t really built up a name for themselves yet.

WWE plans to banks on 4 major pillars of talent

WWE now seems to have a great strategy and will apparently rebuild Raw’s Women’s division on 4 major pillars- Peyton Royce, Mandy Rose, Zelina Vega, and Bianca Belair.

All four of these Superstars have been given big pushes over the last week and we could very well see them building up a huge name for themselves.

WWE could also bring in popular NXT Superstar Shotzi Blackheart who looks more than ready for a major move to Raw. Zelina Vega can profit a lot with her feud against Asuka, and Peyton Royce already looks good as a solo wrestler.

The rebuild will take its time but I’m sure that making Raw self-sufficient is the right way forward. WWE is banking on its talents, which is right. Although we will have to bear with the other content for a while longer, our patience will be rewarded with a bunch of big names in the near future.
