LA Knight has without a doubt become one of the most popular stars in WWE. His craze and connection among fans keep growing with each passing week, with people always comparing his style to the iconic Dwayne Johnson. While the mannerisms and demeanor might match, there is no denying the momentum Knight is carrying based on his current persona by being the central talking point.
A strong Dwayne Johnson fan at heart, the internet has now exploded with a viral clip of a young Knight mimicking The Rock from one of his iconic promos delivered more than 20 years ago.

The Rock influenced numerous wrestlers during his stint at the WWE. While he was always lauded for his wrestling skills, it’s his catchphrases that still resonate and generate applause from fellow wrestlers.
From his iconic “finally”, to his devastating “it doesn’t matter” and of course his sensational “If you smell what The Rock is cooking”, the blueprint is right there for anyone who wishes to master the art of using the mic to hold an audience. Among the current generation of wrestlers, LA Knight does it better than anyone else.
Now in an old video, the 40-year-old copies The Rock, by delivering one of his backstage promos as he “lays it to SmackDown”, showing why he’s the ultimate fan.

You can see the perfection with which he copies Dwayne Johnson, including the sunglasses and a championship. However, what’s amusing is that this clip comes to light amidst many comparisons between LA Knight and The Great One. Many legends, including Kevin Nash, have mocked LA Knight in the past for not having anything original to display.
While everyone is entitled to their opinions, it seems like the leader of the YEAH movement has replied in his own way by moving and breaking astonishingly impressive records.
Knight is on his way to the top
The superstar has been on a roll by charting out blockbuster viewerships for SmackDown on a regular basis even when he appears only for a few minutes. In addition, he has broken many merchandise sales records, with his shirts taking the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place, even toppling the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.

The fun doesn’t stop for Knight as his popularity recently invaded enemy territory AEW as well when fans began chanting YEAH during AEW Champion MJF’s promo.
This surge of popularity and his exceptional mic skills are some of the reasons why people feel an aura about the superstar, similar to what Johnson had during his stint. With the fans firmly behind him, it’s safe to say more comparisons are on the way as he continues to climb like Johnson did in the past.
