

After giving his all in the wrestling industry, John Cena is also climbing the stairs in the Hollywood industry. The former 16-time World Champion has not only shown great resilience in his acting jobs but also patience. He did many projects and movies to get to this position where he is featured in a movie alongside Idris Elba and Margot Robbie. Not to mention the legendary action hero, Sylvester Stallone.

The Suicide Squad by James Gunn was another successful streak of DCEU movies, back in 2021, just like Black Adam featuring Dwayne Johnson. But for Cena, this might not be the first time meeting Mr. Stallone, as both actors may have met backstage on many wrestling shows. Stallone has frequented McMahon’s company on many occasions.

A movie with Stallone, Robbie, and Elba was always going to be a slam dunk, but the one that surprised fans the most was Cena. His comedic pedigree shown in this movie alone was enough to get the former wrestler his own TV series. Peacemaker, just like Suicide Squad, was a delightful time for fans and you can still catch the movie and the series on HBO Max.
John Cena and Sylvester Stallone once clicked a photo before going on Good Morning America
During the promotion of the movie, the cast of The Suicide Squad went to different talk shows and one of them was America’s favorite, Good Morning America. Before going to the set, though, the action movie legend, Stallone, posted this photo of himself and Cena, in his movie costume, holding his gun. While there seems to be some violence in the photo, the gun was only a dummy, just like the one they used in the movie’s production.

While there are no rumors or news about the sequel in the world, we think it’s highly likely that Stallone and Cena will share the big screen in the future again.

With Johnson as Black Adam, Cena as Peacemaker, Batista as Drax, and Banks as Koska Reeves, WWE superstars are taking over the Hollywood industry. But we haven’t had enough and would love to see more added as well.
