Stone Cold Steve Austin is acknowledged as one of the finest wrestlers of the attitude era. He became one of the greatest wrestlers by the end of his career. Throughout his career, The Rattlesnake has had several feuds. However, his greatest rivalry was with WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

In the Attitude Era, the Rattlesnake had a bad boy reputation. However, along with drinking beer, he was known for flicking his middle finger. He’s flicked his finger at a lot of people in his career. In addition, he has flipped to McMahon on a number of occasions over his career.

Recalling his bitter battle with McMahon. On Twitter, a rare photo of him flicking out his finger at Vince has created a buzz. This was from one of the Red Brand shows.

The Texas Rattlesnake once revealed that McMahon hated his middle finger trademark. He stated, “Vince was totally on board with the beer idea. He didn’t give a s**t about the beer. I’m thirty-something years old–there ain’t no problem with the drinking age, and it’s a guy just clacking a few beers together after doing a job. There were no headaches or hassles with that, but flipping someone off is flipping someone off, no matter what age you are.” (H/T: SI.com)

The Attitude Era was infamous for this kind of stuff where the content made was for the adult. However, after the PG era, WWE changed its approach to the content and stopped all this stuff.

For the first time in 19 years, Stone Cold made his WWE appearance. He made his WWE comeback at WrestleMania’s grandest stage. Where he came to compete in a ‘No Holds Barred’ match against Kevin Owens. Moreover, he made a surprise appearance in his trademark style, holding drinks and flipping the bird.

However, SmackDown commentator Pat McAfee claimed that Austin was advised not to give his middle finger a salute during his entrance.

On his podcast, he stated, “He was working on coming out. And you know we’re in a different era now of the WWE than we were then. So, I got to watch this dude’s entrance with an empty stadium or whatever.”

“He goes right to that top rope, f**king both fingers straight up in the air. He’s doing the whole thing. And then I see three producers running over [to him], ‘Can’t do that, can’t do that.”

However, he flipped his finger at WrestleMania and later won the Bout against Kevin Owens.
