The Hulkster had a one-year stint with NJPW once again, which was followed by his debut in the WCW. He faced and defeated Ric Flair in his debut match to become the champion. 'The Big Dog' went on to capture the WWE Universal Championship as he defeated The Fiend and Braun Strowman at Payback. Reigns then went on to have a rivalry with Jay USO.
