Rare Occasion Sees Roman Reigns Break His Monster Heel Persona to Make the Fans “Smile & Laugh Without Even Trying”

WWE superstars are expected to carry their on-screen personas every time and there are some who have done it for a long time. As seen so well in the case of The Undertaker. But there are some instances in the WWE where wrestlers were forced to break character because of the situation. Fans are used to seeing some top stars breaking character but recently Roman Reigns also lifted the mask on his heel persona to entertain his fans in Mexico.

Roman Reigns breaks character to make fans laugh

WWE did their Supershow in Mexico last week. The Supershow had a star-studded lineup with matches between all the top stars. Dominik Mysterio was in a champion vs champion match with Seth Rollins which he lost. Cody Rhodes faced ‘Senior MITB’ Damian Priest defeating him convincingly. The main event for the night was The Tribal Chief facing Rey Mysterio for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

During this match, Roman Reigns actually broke character to merely make the crowd laugh. He started gesturing towards the crowd with his hand and then suddenly pointed towards Rey Mysterio. Even the crowd supported him in the act by making noise when he signaled in Mysterio’s direction. It was a very funny moment because fans very rarely get to see this side of The Tribal Chief. Reigns is known for having a very serious and ‘Commander-In-Chief’ persona. So to suddenly see him act this comically got the fans talking online.

Fans were surprised that Roman Reigns can break character

Reigns making comical gestures to the crowd during his title match with Rey Mysterio was thoroughly enjoyed by the fans. One fan was so shocked that he said, “So, during unaired shows they can be themselves and aired shows they have to be in character?”.

While another fan applauded Reigns for always being a good sport. He said, “Roman likes to have fun with the fans.”

Fans found this amusing act of Reigns to be super cute. One of them said, “He makes you smile & laugh without even trying ❤️.” While another fan was just ‘head over heels’ for the actual ‘heel’. She said, “He is always a sunshine heel or face make no Differenz 💓💗💗.”

Lastly, a fan praised Reigns for his immense boldness saying, “Roman reigns you still have self-confidence even during the game you keep being fun.” Overall fans were pleasantly in awe that their Tribal Chief displayed his humorous side.
