It is hard to imagine the late 90s without the carefree, no-nonsense attitude from WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin became a pivotal point in starting the Attitude Era, which started the ‘Monday Night War’ with WCW.

Without a doubt, Austin was an integral part of WWE’s success when it needed the most. However, Steve Austin was not always this popular in WWE, it was his change of gimmick in the late 90s which created the legend we know today.

However, before working for Vince McMahon, Austin worked for McMahon’s rival company, WCW, back in the early 90s. He was called ‘Stunning‘ Steve Austin back then, and WCW reaped the benefits from a young Austin.

Recently, a fan posted a pic of Austin with other wrestling legends. Notably, in this picture, Austin had blonde hair, something he had back in his WCW.

However, it is the star power in the picture alongside Austin that makes the picture noteworthy as well. Legends like William Regal, Ricky Steamboat, Kevin Sullivan, and Arn Anderson can be seen enjoying their time on the beach.

This is a picture is from the time when all of these wrestlers were in WCW and probably were having the best time as wrestlers, career-wise. However, the young Steve Austin had a lot of learning to do.

Stone Cold Steve Austin learned from the best in WCW

When Steve Austin was in Ted Turner’s WCW, he had a locker room filled with wrestling legends. Even the company showed him trust when they paired Steve with the infamous Brian Pillman. Together they were called the ‘Hollywood Blondes.’

The duo hit it off really well since the start, as Austin’s ability to match the in-ring skills with Brian Pillman was a surprising moment for everyone.

In WCW, he was a two-time WCW World Television Champion, a two-time WCW United States Heavyweight Champion, a onetime WCW World Tag Team Champion.

However, Austin soon felt that he has hit a ceiling in WCW, and in the mid-90s, he turned to Vince McMahon.

Stone Cold Steve Austin created history numerous times in WWE, giving the fans one of the most memorable moments as wrestling fans.
