Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is arguably one of the biggest megastars in the history of professional wrestling. In the 80s and 90s, the WWE achieved much success with Hogan as the top talent on the roster.

Modern wrestling fans most notably know him for his popularity as the nWo member. However, Hogan goes all the way back to the late 70s. Yes, the Hulkster wrestled for over three decades. Working with different wrestling promotions at the start of his career gave him a chance to work with some of the all-time greats of the wrestling business.
Recently, a former WWE ring announcer, Gary Michael Cappetta, took to his Twitter and uploaded a rare backstage photo of Hulk Hogan along with other wrestling legends who changed the wrestling industry in many ways.
“In 1981 I was introducing headliners like Killer Khan, Fred Blassie, Hulk Hogan and Stan Hansen. This photo was taken at the TV tapings in Hamburg, PA,” he wrote.

The bald wrestler in the black t-shirt sitting next to Hogan is Killer Khan, ‘Classy’ Freddie Blassie right behind him, and Stan Hansen is the one wearing the cowboy hat.

All the aforementioned superstars were the extreme heels of the business and these superstars were the reasons why the fans bought the tickets to watch the show.
Hulk Hogan got the chance to work with the best in the business
Hulk Hogan is quite lucky that he worked with such geniuses of the industry. Not only these men, but Hogan was also blessed to work with Andre the Giant, Verne Gagne, and many other all-time greats who surely would’ve given pieces of advice.

This photograph is from the time when Vince McMahon Sr. was in charge of WWE (then known as WWWF). The 80s was the era when the Hulkster really blew up and his popularity was not confined inside the squared circle.

Hogan became really popular in the mainstream media as well when he did a cameo in Rocky III and several other movies. Eventually, in the late 70s and 80s Hogan a global phenomenon of the pro-wrestling industry.
