During the opening segment of tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW, Gunther assured SmackDown’s Randy Orton that last week’s RKO would be the only thing he would celebrate after his World Heavyweight Championship match at the WWE Bash in Berlin. The Viper assured fans that he would kick Gunther’s butt and avenge his father’s honor after the champion insulted him last week.
Then Ludwig Kaiser came out of hiding to launch a surprise attack on Orton. However, the Viper blocked him and threw him into the ringside. But as every WWE fan knows by now, the numbers game almost always wins unless you are John Cena and the opponent is the Nexus. So, soon, Kaiser and Gunther overpowered Orton, and before you knew it, Orton vs. Kaiser became the main event of the night.
Which, to no one’s surprise, was won by Orton. But that wasn’t it. Randy Orton also laid down a beating on the Heavyweight Champion before the telecast ended mid-brawl. And this mid-brawl ending of the episode surely made many miss a crucial part of this epic feud. But what is the crucial part? Well, it was the result of the match at Bash in Berlin.

Last week, Fightful Select reported that several people in WWE claimed that Randy Orton had signed a new contract with the company until 2029. But at that time, neither the wrestler nor the WWE officially confirmed it. However, the missing confirmation has arrived. Sean Ross Sapp reported on his social media that Randy Orton confirmed his renewal with WWE for five more years on Monday.
In addition, the fighter gave an interview to Vicente Beltran of MARCA and ratified it. He said, “I don’t think I’m going to be in a hurry; I’m going to keep doing this for a lot longer. I just signed a five-year contract extension. And I don’t have to rush. I have all the time in the world as far as I’m concerned. I feel great. I feel healthy.” Therefore, WWE is making sure that it can count on Randy Orton until at least 2029. And what better way than to make him the champion? What do you think? Will Gunther win the feud?
