Drew McIntyre rocked the ThunderDome by becoming the WWE Champion for the second time after defeating arch-rival Randy Orton in a huge match. Many discount this, but he received a lot of help from his close friend Sheamus.
Before the match, ‘The Celtic Warrior’ presented McIntyre with a box as a gift. Inside the box was a longsword which was the traditional weapon of the Scottish Warrior.

McIntyre went on to make one of the best entrances at the site wearing the Kilt and holding the longsword. Dawning his heritage, McIntyre looked like William Wallace as he walked down to the ring.
On Raw Talk following the show, Sheamus revealed the reason he presented McIntyre with the Sword right before the historical match against Orton.

“I gave him those gifts to help him get back to his roots,” said Sheamus. “Sometimes you forget everything you’ve been through to get to where you’re at. That was just me reminding him of who he is, where he comes from, and maybe give him a little inspiration.”

As a close neighbor to McIntyre, Sheamus saw the former Champion wavered after his loss at Hell in a Cell. He then decided that a little reminder of home would get him back on the saddle.
“After Randy got him at Hell in a Cell, maybe Drew had a little doubt in his mind,” admitted Sheamus. “When he opened that chest and accepted that sword, everything came back to him. Everything he had been through before, it all came rushing back to his head. As his brother, I was proud to do that for him,” concluded Sheamus. H/t Wrestling Inc.

McIntyre went on to make a spectacular entrance with the longsword and kilt. Even Roddy Piper would be proud of that show. McIntyre is truly the man who carries forward the baton of Scottish and English wrestlers to enter the WWE ring.
Regaining the WWE Championship, he keeps building history for his people and is the pride and joy of his hometown. Roman Reigns is next in line to face the reborn beast, and it will not be an easy fight for either.
