Randy Orton won his fourteenth World Championship at Hell In A Cell. The reign didn’t last long for the ‘Legend’ as Drew McIntyre regained the championship a couple weeks ago on Raw, marking the end of their four-month long rivalry.

Moving ahead, the ‘Apex Predator‘ has found himself in a different mumbo-jumbo of sorts with The Fiend setting eyes on him. The mind games from The Fiend started a few weeks ago, but it was last night on Raw that Orton sort-of outplayed ‘him.’

What happened between Randy Orton and The Fiend this week?

Monday Night Raw opened with A Moment Of Bliss with Randy Orton as the special guest. The commentators wondered why Orton signed up to appear as guest after The Fiend ambushed him the last time he was on A Moment Of Bliss.

Orton said he’s known Bray Wyatt for a long time, but he hasn’t formally been introduced to The Fiend yet. Bliss quickly mentioned that he is her best friend.

Orton continued saying he and The Fiend have a lot in common, but the one major difference is The Fiend wears all his pain and suffering on the exterior whereas Orton suppresses it, keeps it deep down inside his gut so he can blend in.

He also mentioned both him and The Fiend hear voices, which is another similarity, but the voices The Fiend hears are Orton’s voices. Bliss denied, but Orton quickly cut her off. He says The Fiend didn’t tell her everything.

He mentions that years ago he had to find Bray Wyatt’s weakness and vulnerability. Not only did he find it, but he burned it to the ground. Orton leaned towards Bliss and told her he has possibly found The Fiend’s weakness and vulnerability – Alexa Bliss.

The lights went out, and The Fiend came out. As the lights came back up, Alexa Bliss was in Orton’s arms. The Fiend stared down for a few seconds before literally begging Orton to hand Bliss to him.

The ‘Viper’ cautiously handed Bliss to The Fiend and immediately got out of the ring. As The Fiend held Alexa Bliss and stared down Randy Orton on the ramp, Orton asked The Fiend who was laughing now to end the segment.

Long history between the two

The Fiend doesn’t forgive, and he surely doesn’t forget. We all saw the reference on the Firefly Funhouse a few weeks ago. Randy Orton may have outsmarted The Fiend this time, but this only adds fuel to the fire.

Randy Orton got the last laugh when he and Bray Wyatt feuded the last time. Orton not only defeated the then ‘Eater of Worlds,’ but also burned down the Wyatt Compound where Sister Abigail was laid.

It comes full circle for Randy Orton against The Fiend. No matter what Orton does, it will definitely be The Fiend laughing in the end.
