“Put on a Great Match for Bray”: Emotions Run High as Bray Wyatt’s Biggest Rivals Main Event WWE SmackDown on This Special Day

The latest episode of WWE SmackDown began with a 10-bell salute and tribute paid to Bray Wyatt. The sudden news of Wyatt passing away hit the fans hard. However, the promotion went ahead and put forward a class act of paying an emotional, heartfelt tribute to Wyatt.

Apart from putting together the tributary video package, and bringing in Eric Rowan, and Braun Strowman, Triple H and WWE pitched classic match for the main event of the latest SmackDown episode. The main-event would see two of Wyatt’s classic rivals have a match against each other.

Prior to his hiatus from WWE owing to ill health, Bray Wyatt last faced LA Knight. The two would be engaged in a heated feud for months, before finally battling it out Royal Rumble 2023. And, similarly, another iconic opponent of Bray Wyatt was Finn Balor, against whom the ‘The Fiend’ made his in-ring debut.

The revamped version of Wyatt, also known as The Fiend began his first rivalry on the main roster against Finn Balor. Thus, Triple H pitching The Fiend’s first rival against Bray Wyatt’s final rival is some kind of poetic justice.

No sooner was the match announced, that fans got emotional and took to social media to react to the announcement. This also shows the respect Wyatt held in the eyes of WWE management as they chose to pay a poetic tribute to him.
