Chris Jericho is one of the most popular wrestlers at the AEW. People always love seeing him in action whenever he enters the ring for a fight or an announcement. The former WWE superstar gained a lot of fame during his WWE career and currently uses his charm for the benefit of Tony Khan’s company.

Apart from being a top-class wrestler Jericho is also a music artist. His entrance song has been created by his own band, Fozzy. Jericho recently announced that he will be performing the song along with his bandmates for his upcoming match at AEW All In. The news, however, has not been well-received by fans. People are ridiculing this endeavor and have laughed Jericho off on social media.

Chris Jericho plans to ‘perform’ for his next match

Fozzy is an Atlanta-based American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1999, the year before the Y2K millennium bug was most feared. This may also shed some light on why Jericho chose the nickname Y2J for his wrestling career. The name is inspired by the name of metal legend, Ozzy Osbourne. Chris Jericho is the lead vocalist of the band. The band plays around with several experimental sounds.

It bounces between themes and inspirations from heavy metal, hard rock, and alternative metal. Chris Jericho always makes his entrance in the arena with the music of his own band. His entrance track is called Judas. 

Chris Jericho recently announced that he will be performing the song live for the AEW fans for his upcoming match against Will Ospreay. This, however, has not gone well with the AEW fans. In fact, fans took to social media to actively diss Chris Jericho for his decision.

A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) has accumulated a lot of attention. Fans have not pulled their punches and have made a literal laughing stock out of Jericho for his decision to perform.

The excitement of Chris Jericho meets with ridicule instead of backlash. Fans are saying that this is something nobody asked for and could do without. In fact, several of them joked about knowing when they could leave for a break to relieve themselves.

Chris Jericho has not been having a good time at the AEW currently. His heel group, the Jericho Appreciation Society also disbanded a while ago. They left Chris Jericho all alone and abandoned him and later on, acknowledged the leadership skills of Tribal Chief Roman Reigns. Fans posted several humorously hurtful comments on the social media post.

Judas backstabbed: The backlash for Y2J

Many see Judas as a symbol of backstabbing. However, nobody wants to listen to that song, and Judas gets backstabbed this time. The fans were pretty straightforward with their disappointment. They did not hold back their thoughts on Twitter.

Several fans said that this will now give them the perfect opportunity to leave the stands for a bathroom break.

Some of them simply dismissed the vain attempt of Chris Jericho to perform in front of a live audience. One of the fans also stated that a performance before a match isn’t an ideal move on the part of Chris Jericho. 

Some fans disregarded the decision and laughed hard at it. This may not have been the response Jericho expected after his announcement.
