Vince McMahon can be termed one of the most controversial figures in the pro wrestling industry. And while he was undoubtedly a genius and took the company to brand new heights; he was always neck deep in different controversies.

Over the years, McMahon grew a regional company and took it to new heights, and made it an International giant.

Claimed a genius by many, he was also often criticized for missing out on talented wrestlers. McMahon was often called out for being biased toward wrestlers with beefed-up and muscular physiques.

One such unnoticed star was, NJPW great and luchador, Ultimo Dragon. Dragon was one of the finest luchadors in the industry, and was even a IWGP Heavyweight Champion. However, his stint in WWE was not a very memorable one.

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, he talked about his pro wrestling career, and his tiny stint in WWE. The 55-year-old revealed, “A lot of people always tell me [I should go back with Levesque in charge], but to me, it was an honor to work under [Vince] McMahon. 

He revealed that he was not given much opportunities to shine, but he learnt a lot about the business. The luchador claimed, “I am too old to work for the WWE now.” Ultimo Dragon is now 55-years-old, and is way past his prime. He is currently wrestling in Japan in the indie circuit.

Vince McMahon reached out to current Undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns after his retirement

Vince McMahon‘s retirement from WWE, came as a shocker. People involved with the company, and the business were shocked to hear about the decision. After his allegations of paying hush money, McMahon went to Twitter to announce his retirement.

Roman Reigns  during a podcast session with Sports Illustrated, revealed that Vince McMahon gave him a special message after the retirement. Reigns claimed, “You know, it was just hard to believe because I think, along with anyone who’s followed this business or been in this business, Vince is gonna be running this. I’m going to be long gone and I’ll be 20 years retired and Vince is still running the show.”

Reigns further claimed that he thought the retirement would last around six months, and they would see what was to come. However, Reigns revealed that later the got the message from the talent relations, and he got a personal message from Vince McMahon.

Reigns is currently one of the most successful superstar in the company, and enjoying his ride of accomplishments. He is slated to face Logan Paul at Crown Jewel 2022.
