“Pray for Sami Zayn”: Fans Feel ‘Bad’ for Honorary Uce as Roman Reigns Unleashes His Fury on Him

The Bloodline has been the focal point of WWE SmackDown since its inception. Roman Reigns and his extended family have dominated the blue brand as few others have. One member that has made the faction really interesting in recent months is the Honorary Uce Sami Zayn.

After overcoming initial skepticism, Zayn established himself as a key member of the group. His stock rose even further when he helped them to pick up the win in the War Games match at Survivor Series.

Apart from this, his shenanigans have caught the attention of fans who are loving his work in his spot.

But on the recent episode of SmackDown, things turned somewhat grim for the former Intercontinental Champion.

Zayn has usually enjoyed the support of Reigns since he aligned himself with The Bloodline. However, the Tribal Chief had a rare outburst of anger at Zayn over last week’s loss to Kevin Owens and John Cena.

This week’s SmackDown started with The Bloodline and Reigns addressing their defeat from the previous week. Reigns blamed Zayn for the loss and said he called his shot and guaranteed a win, which is something the Head of the Table does. He asked Zayn why he is trying to do things like him and if he wants to be the Tribal Chief.

Reigns went off on Zayn and started yelling at him, startling not only the Honorary Uce but other members of the Bloodline.

Roman has presented a calm and intimidating demeanor since he turned heel. Hence, this anger outburst was quite rare and had the desired effect. During his segment, Zayn can be seen as very upset as he tried to reason with Reigns.

After fans watched this segment, they felt bad for Zayn, who has tried his best to win over Bloodline members for a long time. “One fan wrote, Pray for Sami Zayn y’all.” Another commented, “My heart jumped for Sami.”

Although Sami Zayn appeared to be in trouble, things cooled down later in the night. After he was stopped from entering Reigns’ room, he was later invited in by the Champion himself. In fact, Reigns apologized to Zayn for yelling at him.

He said that he was not mad at him but at Kevin Owens. Earlier during the opening segment, Owens announced that he will face Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title at the Royal Rumble.

Meanwhile, Zayn will have a chance to redeem himself in the eyes of Roman Reigns after Paul Heyman told him that he will face Owens next week on SmackDown. Reigns lashing out at Zayn really got people invested as they think a possible split may happen soon.

Moreover, with Zayn’s former best friend in line for a title match against Reigns, we could see some dramatic storytelling over the next few weeks.
