The Iiconics, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, split up after 5 years of being a Tag Team. The gifted duo came to WWE back in 2015 and were soon paired on NXT TV. They spent three years in NXT before moving to WWE SmackDown.

All throughout, Kay and Royce stuck together, until they suffered a defeat at the hands of The Riott Squad on Monday Night Raw. As per the stipulation, the duo had to split up as Tag Team partners after five strong years.

Billie Kay and Peyton Royce break down in tears

During an interview, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce became emotional as they spoke about the end of partnership – the end of an era for them.

Peyton Royce broke down while talking about how she feels with Billie Kay not being by her side anymore from the coming week.

We come to Raw next week and I know I don’t have a tag match. I don’t have Billie by my side. That’s something new because ever since we started NXT five and half years ago, this has been us. It’s just very unnatural.”

On the other hand, Billie Kay tried to be strong. However, it became quite clear that she was holding back tears. What she said about The Iiconics and their friendship is overpowered with emotions.

We are going to be in this alone and that’s scary but that’s life. Everyone goes through changes for growth and times where you have to evolve and we are at that point. So as scary and as sad as we are we both know we can achieve anything we set our minds to. Even though we won’t be supporting each other out there, back here we will have each other’s back a 1000% every single day for the rest of our lives. That’s something that’ll never go away.“

Finally, Billie Kay assured their fans that even if the Iiconics won’t be performing inside the ring anymore, they will keep the team alive in their hearts.
