Ever since Solo Sikoa stepped foot on the main roster, he has been upping the ante. Recently, he emerged victorious over John Cena at Crown Jewel in a dominating fashion. Well, that indeed has left the world in shock, and the fans have started anticipating the upcoming plans for the 30-year-old. In fact, many believe that Sikoa is a potential top guy for WWE down the line.

Well, that being discussed by the fans, there also might be chances of a possible showdown between him and his cousin, Roman Reigns, in the future. Could this mean Sikoa being positioned as the new “Tribal Chief” by WWE? Well, we have three reasons why WWE may be headed in that direction.

Solo Sikoa recently dominated John Cena at Crown Jewel

John Cena has been presented as WWE’s biggest star for nearly two decades. Even though he hasn’t won a televised singles match since 2018, Cena wasn’t dominated by any star as he was by Solo Sikoa during their Crown Jewel match. The last time Cena was completely overpowered was at SummerSlam 2014, by a certain Brock Lesnar.

Sikoa convincingly finished the game by incessantly dropping ten Samoan spikes on the veteran and proved that there was a fairly bright future waiting for him. His victory against Cena might suggest that the company has something big coming for Sikoa.

Now that The Enforcer has gained a huge triumph against one of the greatest in-ring performers, he might have laid the groundwork to face Roman Reigns soon. One of the major reasons for that could be his regular appearance on the weekly shows. How? Let’s find out.

Roman Reigns’ absence might be a way for Sikoa to takeover The Bloodline

Another reason for his face-off against Reigns for being the next Tribal Chief could be his regular appearance on the shows. Also, Roman Reigns part-time appearance on the weekly shows has not been hidden from the fans. He no longer appears on every PLE that gets scheduled by the WWE. Notably, he has only defended his title once after the SummerSlam against LA Knight at Crown Jewel. Moreover, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter Reigns is no longer scheduled for a match this year.

On the other hand, Sikoa has been consistently appearing and working as an integral part of The Bloodline. He has been proving his mettle inside the ring as a tough foe for many. Also, with the absence of Reigns from the weekly shows, Sikoa is the one who has an immense responsibility to lead the faction. However, Reigns is very keen to protect his legacy and that of his faction.

Roman Reigns has high expectations of Solo Sikoa, and any perceived letdown could lead to Reigns’ dissatisfaction and possible disputes. Solo may finally snap, openly defying Roman Reigns and refusing to take on the responsibilities, which would lead to a feud between the two. Apart from this Sikoa can claim to be The Bloodline’s true leader in the absence of Reigns and who knows may get Heyman on his side as well. All in all, Reign’s absence from the squared circle might create friction between both cousins and lead to a possible feud between them.

Solo Sikoa would want to develop a singles identity

Solo Sikoa has been heavily protected by WWE and has only lost to a select few wrestlers in singles competition on the main roster. His dominant win over Cena could lead to WWE booking him for a singles run that could perfectly groom him for a face-off against Reigns at some point in the future. Truly, Sikoa has been portrayed as the shadow of Roman Reigns, who stays behind the Head of the Table and protects him whenever required. But the time is near when Sikoa will need to emerge from the shadows and establish himself as not the “Enforcer” of The Bloodline.

Having spent over a year in that role on the main roster, the promotion should begin to groom Sikoa for a singles push. He would want to stand out on his own by competing in more singles matches against the most prominent names in the company. With this development, he could pave a solid path towards the confrontation with Reigns. The logic behind this is very simple: once Sikoa becomes a prominent singles figure in the Stamford-based promotion, the path will eventually lead to a world title shot, which means a confrontation against Reigns.

Also, for most of the fans, this contest will be a great opportunity for the company to sell this Samoan warfare to the faithful. It has been also rumored that Reigns will have a big babyface run in the near future. Could it come after Sikoa takes over The Bloodline and kicks out Reigns? WWE fans will be eager to see how they book Sikoa for the next few months and whether there will be more hints about him becoming the new “Tribal Chief”
