Roman Reigns’ in-ring dominance is surely not hidden from the fans. With his ongoing run as the undisputed champion, he has etched his name in the list of one of the most dominant and iconic figures in WWE. From his early days as an integral element of Shield to his current days as a Trible Chief, he has created an unparalleled legacy all on his own. One of the most evident factors that showcases his dominance as champion is his current reign of 1140+ days while holding the golden strap.

Indeed, his reign as a champion has been under intense scrutiny for a long time. Whenever the fans thought that his run as an enforcer would end, Reigns convincingly flipped the script to prove them wrong. In fact, the most appropriate time that was considered to bring a setback for The Tribal Chief was this year’s WrestleMania; however, the champion was again able to defy the odds as he outmatched Cody Rhodes and kept his supremacy going. But did you know? With this emphatic reign as champion, the 38-year-old broke the record of many WWE moguls such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and especially WWE legend Pedro Morales, who held the major world title for 1027 days.

Leaving all of them behind, Roman Reigns might be heading toward the zenith of the pro wrestling industry, but he is still far to reach, or, one can say, break the record of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan’s 1474-day reign as a champion. And it seems that it might not be possible for him as of now. How? Let’s find out!

Cody Rhodes might stop Roman Reigns before he reaches Hulk Hogan

Even though Reigns was able to outclass Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, it is heavily rumored that Rhodes will still battle Reigns at WrestleMania 39 for the undisputed strap. Rhodes has been out of the title picture for a very long time. While staying away from the frontline, Rhodes made sure that he was a true prospective candidate to hinder the deeds of Reigns yet again. From his historic beef with Brock Lesnar to his current run as an undisputed tag team champion, he is slowly and gradually heading as a predator to get hold of Roman Reigns and take his WrestleMania revenge. Even in this week’s SmackDown, the intense staredown between both bigwigs suggests a rematch in the future.

Both of them have an intense history that might resurface at WrestleMania 40 next year. And there are high chances that The American Nightmare will end the dominant reign of The Trible Chief on the grandest evening of 2024. Also, there is nearly a year left for the leader of The Bloodline to break the record of Hulk Hogan, and for that, he has to get out of Mania as a champion. But the chances seem thin in the here and now.

Fans may begin to lose interest in Roman Reigns’ extended championship reign

We have come way ahead of those days when only a single face in the WWE used to keep the fans going bananas. Now the scenario has completely changed since the fans always want to witness something out of the box. And keeping the same thing in mind, WWE might not keep Roman Reigns’ current run existing. Well, the WWE might have done it this year since they wanted The Head of the Table to reach the 1000-day mark as a champion. However, this might not be the case next year, as the fans have been waiting for a new champion for a very long time.

And being cognizant of this, the promotion might not have plans for Roman Reigns to break the record of Hulk Hogan since it will take a huge amount of time. Almost 310 days, is definitely not a small tenure and the fans might not wait till then.

Roman Reigns might head towards Hollywood anytime soon

Over the years, WWE has produced numerous juggernauts in the sports entertainment industry. While some relied on their in-ring antics, the others had the charisma to get the fans enthralled. Nonetheless, the fans have seen various names emerge as the true WWE heroes. Interestingly, some of them even became heroes outside of the promotion. Well, the likes of John Cena and, of course, Dwayne Johnson are examples of those who went to rule the Hollywood industry after making a name for themselves in pro wrestling.

The same might be the scenario for Roman Reigns as well. Truly, he has reached the heights of success in the WWE, and there are rumors that he might shift himself into the film industry soon. Even though Reigns has worked in a few movies before, among those, his short yet captivating role along with Dwayne Johnson in Hobbs and Shaw is an all-time favorite. Also, Reigns hinted at the film industry as his next step a few years ago when he had an interview with Ariel Helwani.
