In a recent episode of “The Kurt Angle Show“, a fan asked Angle where he ranked Randy Orton and if he was in the top five. Kurt was quick to agree and stated,

“Without a doubt. Especially heel, top two, you know. You don’t get much of a better heel than Randy Orton. Triple H is up there, Ric Flair is up there, Freddie Blassie’s up there. But Ric and Freddie were more of entertaining heels. Triple H and Randy were more heel heels. People naturally hated them, especially Randy.”

We agree with Angle. ‘The Viper‘ is among the top heels in history. His in-ring ability, capped with brilliant promo prowess, makes him the top guy in any persona. There are very few wrestlers in WWE who could match his heel persona, maybe heel Edge was one of them.

Kurt Angle isn’t surprised Randy Orton is still wrestling today

Another fan asked if he thought back in 2006, that Randy would still be wrestling, 15 years later at such an amazingly high level with all the injuries he suffered. Angle continued that Orton started wrestling when he was around 21. He was fairly young and this was back in the early 2000s. Now almost 15 years later, he is not surprised that Orton’s still wrestling today.

Kurt believes that at the age of 40-41 years old, Randy is still young and he’s done a great job at taking care of his body the last 12 years. Angle recalls that Orton did some stupid stuff at the beginning of his career but he smartened up, he started taking care of his body and taking better care of himself.

We as fans are lucky that Orton is still wrestling to this day. His unyielding determination and unbending will have made him one of the biggest superstars in WWE history. His tag team of RKBro with Matt Riddle is extremely entertaining, to say the least. Also, it is one of the main reasons people still tune in to Monday Night Raw.

It should be noted that whenever Orton is involved in a faction, it is always amazing. His time with The Legacy faction, or The Authority, and The Wyatt Family are just a handful of the many successful alliances of Randy that the fans love. His ability to gel with any and all wrestlers is an asset that not many possess in the business.

We have no doubt in our minds that ‘The Apex Predator’ is a future Hall of Famer and WWE legend.
