It is no secret that Ryback and WWE do not share a good relationship. After he walked out on the company in 2016, he has called them out on multiple occasions.
In a recent Twitter Q&A session, Ryback attacked his former manager Paul Heyman. A fan asked him what is the equation between him and Heyman.
Thoughts on Paul Heyman? I’ve always wished the pairing between you and him could have lasted longer!

Upon listening to this question, Ryback erupted. He compared Heyman to a leech saying he made his career as he latched on to various talented wrestlers.
Ryback said, “Paul was a piece of sh*t and he knows it. I would destroy him with an open mic and no script. He has made a nice career for himself through latching on to talented wrestlers.”

Heyman has a history of ‘managing’ potential top stars like Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, and now Roman Reigns. While most of the fans have believed the relationship is beneficial for both parties, Ryback challenged the concept itself.
Ryback left WWE over pay discrepancies and creative differences
In 2016, Ryback shared a long message after he left WWE. He felt that he was ‘free’ for a long time. He wrote how WWE sent him home after some creative differences.
“I was told to head home until we agree or not agree to specific terms and contrary to reports it isn’t over money or a bus that stuff was settled a while ago. It comes down to a major problem I have with not only WWE but wrestling in general.”
He revealed, “The winners have more MERCH as it is or are supposed to anyways so they get that extra perk, but why to make the guy who is told to and agrees to lose earn less and sacrifice spots in big pay-per-view match-ups, etc. This is one of the major problems with wrestling and WWE today.”
This hints at the possibility that despite being Ryback’s manager, Paul Heyman never stood up for his cause. Later on, Ryback even said he never wanted Heyman as his manager after one point.

“I didn’t want to do it at the time, I didn’t care,” Ryback said. “I’m not friends with Paul. I’m very honest and I like good people. I didn’t want a mouthpiece, I could talk. I didn’t want to be a part of it”
