CM Punk‘s fortunate stars saved him from going out of business when he was fired from AEW. He had returned to the wrestling ring after a long time when he signed with Tony Khan’s promotion. In 2023, the altercation saw him get fired from the company. This is where WWE picked up the job and signed him again.
While some support the WWE legend in the controversy, others stand against him. Paul Heyman proudly stands in his corner as he takes a subtle shot at AEW at the Fanatics Fest in NYC.

At the Fanatics Fest, Paul Heyman was in a conversation with Sam Roberts from Notsam Wrestling. He asked him a bunch of questions, and The Wiseman tried his best to give him fitting answers. The discussion took an unexpected turn, and Heyman found himself talking about Punk’s time in AEW, but he didn’t stop just there.
He claimed that CM Punk is currently at the top, where he belongs, and he had to go through hell to get to this heaven. Heyman further added, “That hell could not only be in WWE. He had to go through hell elsewhere as well. And everybody had to see it and hear about it and know about it and sit there and go, my God, will somebody please, one time, give this talented man the platform that he deserves?”
Here he is hinting at the altercation that CM Punk faced against Jack Perry, due to which he was forced out of the Jacksonville-based promotion. Although the drama has dialed down now, since CM Punk was once a ‘Paul Heyman guy’, he is standing up for a friend.
CM Punk gets urged to save Paul Heyman
There was a time when the tensions in The Bloodline were at an all-time high. This was because there was internal hostility. The new members of the rogue Bloodline were not happy with how The Wiseman had a change of heart and wasn’t the same evil manager anymore. Neither was he accepting the new Tribal Chief’s tyranny on Friday Night SmackDown.
When the Best in the World showed up on the blue brand to announce that he would be getting medically cleared soon to perform in the ring, Paul Heyman was there to address the audience along with him. The two put their chemistry on display.

CM Punk showed how good of a friend he considers Paul Heyman. Most of all, the former advocate resonated with the same energy in the segment. Since the infamous manager was visibly wanting to get out of The Bloodline 2.0, fans used their fantasy booking superpowers to claim that it would work for the best if WWE got The Voice of the Voiceless to rescue Heyman from the heel faction. While that hasn’t yet happened, it seems like a good idea for a stable to put a bunch of ‘Paul Heyman guys’ together to help avenge what happened at Friday Night SmackDown at MSG.
