Paul Heyman Immediately Drew a Unique Personal Connection as Brock Lesnar Made an Emotional Confession 2 Weeks Before Girlfriend’s Big Day

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman have known each other for a long time. When Lesnar joined WWE in the 2000s, he was paired with Heyman, who helped him to become successful in the company. Under the guidance of the ‘Wise Man’, Lesnar soar to greater heights. Years of spending ample time together as business associates helped them to bond with each other. Their communication, mutual understanding, and companionship built a powerful combo that aided them in thriving in the business.

That being said, the 57-year-old wrestling manager recently talked about an emotional incident that helped both of them to bond on a deeper level.

While speaking on the Tetragrammaton with Rick Rubin, Heyman shared that when Lesnar told him that he was expecting a child with his girlfriend, Nicole McClain, – which was due in 2 weeks – he was shocked and amazed at the same time. It was because he and his girlfriend were also expecting their first child at the time.

Recalling those memories, he said, that ‘The Beast’ showed him a sonogram picture. He asked him not to tell anyone as people could use it as leverage against him in his profession. He wanted to break out the news when he felt the time was right.

Heyman also didn’t want anyone to find out about him becoming a father. He said, “And the funny thing, my girlfriend at the time, was pregnant at that time with my first child, who was my daughter Azalea. And I didn’t tell anybody. Because I didn’t want them to know where they could hurt me.”

Both the superstars bonded over the fact that they were about to become a dad, which is one of the most precious moments in life. Plus, both were expecting girls, so that made the moment extra special. Apart from that, Lesnar’s love and respect towards his parents also made Heyman realize the goodness the former carries in his heart.

During the interview, Heyman also talked about Lesnar’s devotion to his parents. In 2002, Heyman and Lesnar were traveling by plane for the 2002 Rebellion PPV held in Manchester, England. It was the same year, the ‘Next Big Thing’ made his debut on the main roster.

During their flight, Heyman asked him where he sees himself in 5 – 10 years. He was expecting an answer like many young stars say – wanting to main event WrestleMania or become a millionaire – but Lesnar responded differently. He said that all he knows is that he wants to give his parents a comfortable life.
