“Painful to Watch”: Fans Left Unimpressed As Dwayne Johnson’s Daughter Ava Raine Debuts in WWE NXT

After years and years of much anticipation, Ava Raine, finally made her debut in WWE NXT following the footsteps of her father Dwayne Johnson. Fans had their eyes glued to the fourth generation wrestler as soon as she stepped foot into the WWE Performance Center in 2020, eagerly awaiting her debut to see what she had to offer.

Now that she had been in the ring, WWE fans could finally see her in the ring. After grabbing fans’ attention during a live show, the excitement among the fans was very high. However, now she made her television debut on a recent edition of NXT, her debut left a lot of people cold.

For those who don’t know, Schism in NXT, has been teasing its fourth member for a while, who up until the most recent show was a mystery. Additionally, NXT spent weeks creating a buzz around the mysterious red-hooded persona. The mysteries surrounding it is finally revealed on the most recent episode, shocking the WWE Universe by revealing that it is none other than The Rock’s daughter, Ava Raine.

She made a very short statement during the show that the Schism revealing her name is Ava Raine and this is her new family. Since the fans had other expectations for her debut and intended her to join the Bloodline faction, many of her followers were disappointed with her debut as a result. And they expressed it in their tweets.

The debut of Ava Raine didn’t impress many fans

Ava shouldn’t disown The Rock, one admirer said in response to her tweet claiming The Schism is her new family after her debut.

This fan seemed to have different expectations for Raine’s debut. According to her comments, “That was truly painful to watch.” 

The Bloodline should have been her choice, according to one user.

Given that Samoan families have a long history in professional wrestling, one user claimed that her real family has a stronger family dynasty in sports history.

One user, meanwhile, defended Raine when numerous admirers suggested that she should join Bloodline, saying that she should carry her own heritage rather than taking the easy way out.

Additionally, a user joked that Raine, and Dominik, should appear together as the latter recently, went out against his father, Rey Mysterio.

Yet another user was excited to see what she had to offer with this family.

It was undoubtedly both fascinating and surprising to witness her debut in such an unexpected fashion. Meanwhile, it will be interesting how will she create her own legacy.
