Fans clamored when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson returned to the WWE on RAW Episode #1. However, no one could’ve predicted the WWE’s pivot with Johnson. Turning heel and aligning himself with his cousin Roman Reigns, he stood between Cody Rhodes and The Bloodline. Now, just a week away from WrestleMania XL, is Johnson overshadowing everyone else in the story?

On his podcast, 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff, the former WWE and WCW manager spoke about the hottest feud going into WrestleMania XL. This would be the Rhodes vs The Bloodline arc. However, a fan asked if Bischoff believed The Rock was overshadowing everyone else involved. To this, Bischoff said, “I actually feel like Rock and Cody is the only main event at WrestleMania that we should be talking about.”
This sentiment towards the feud is nothing new. Fans and critics have said over the months that The Rock has overshadowed his Tribal Chief. Calling himself the Final Boss has elevated The Rock over Roman Reigns despite Reigns being the one with the title.

Following this, Bischoff said, “But right now, in the moment, I think Rock is overshadowing Roman Reigns. Just being honest.” Since the feud kickoff, The Great One and Rhodes have had exchanges on RAW, SmackDown, and even on social media. Despite facing the former AEW star in a one-on-one affair SmackDown for a promo, fans did not find Reigns convincing enough. Could this be because of The Rock?

While fans speculate that this all could be a work ensuring the tension between The Rock and Reigns continues, the longer this plays out, the weaker the former Shield member looks. Despite claiming The Tribal Chief was behind the attack on Rhodes by The Rock, Reigns not getting his hands dirty has rubbed fans the wrong way. So, are you excited for The Rock and Rhodes at Mania Night #1 or Reigns and Rhodes on Night #2? What do you make of Bischoff’s thoughts? Tell us in the comments.
