The trolling spree reached a boiling point with the band producing AJ Styles’ new theme song in the recent past. The main discontent over the quality of the music they brought to the table was that it lacked originality and diversity. Also, the cliche trend of the songs to contain the superstars’ catchphrases in the opening lines made it even more boring and uninviting.

After being constantly disappointed in their work, fans even demanded the revival of the legendary composer Jim Johnston, who was released from the company back in 2017. However, the company shut down all pleas with their explanation. While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp suggested that WWE is ”very aware” of the hatred aimed at Def Rebel and they were actively addressing the matter.

Also, upon being asked about the controversial band member Douglas J. Davis, the company confirmed that he is no longer a part of the group after he accused an Uber driver of antisemitism. It will be interesting to see if WWE will let go of the band eventually or not. What’s your take on Randy Orton dismissing four Def Rebel song remixes on Raw tonight? Let us know in the comments.
