The sudden walking away of Sasha Banks and Naomi midway during this week’s RAW episode was shocking for everyone. WWE planned them in a six-pack challenge match and the winner was to be determined as the number one contender for Bianca Belair’s RAW Women’s Title.
WWE issued a long statement over this sudden walking away of the Women’s Tag Champions on their social media. They tweeted, “Official WWE statement on Sasha Banks & Naomi.”

Moreover, Sasha Banks and Naomi, before leaving, handed over the tag titles to WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis.
What were the original plans for Sasha Banks and Naomi?
Sasha Banks and Naomi were scheduled to be a part of a six-pack challenge match, which included Becky Lynch, Asuka, Nikki A.S.H., and Doudrop. However, because of the walking away between Banks and Naomi, the match became a singles match between Lynch and Asuka, which The Empress won.
However, WWE did not originally plan for Asuka to win tonight. WWE may have plans for Lynch and Asuka to feud for a while. According to Fightful.com, Naomi was originally scheduled to win. Yes, you read right! They planned for Naomi to win and face Belair at Hell in a Cell for the RAW Women’s title.
So what would have happened that made Naomi give away this opportunity and walk out with Sasha Banks? It may be a possibility that WWE creatives were in plans to break the team of Banks and Naomi after the six-pack challenge match.
The original planned finish for the match may be Naomi pinning Sasha Banks, and this leads to them losing the title and feuding with each other. In the WWE’s issued statement it was stated, “They (Sasha Banks and Naomi) claimed they weren’t respected enough as tag team champions.”
The above-stated line approves the speculation about tag champs being fed up with their booking. Since winning the titles at WrestleMania 38, The Boss and The Glow didn’t have a prominent match. Also, they have spoken about it a few times last month.
