Original Plans for Dwayne Johnson’s Daughter Ava Raine Got Scrapped Unfortunately Because of an Internal Change

Dwayne Johnson‘s daughter debuted earlier this year in WWE. Despite the short time since her debut, Ava Raine has already seen some changes in her career. What The Rock’s daughter had originally planned for herself and her friends before joining WWE didn’t come to fruition. Another NXT star recently appeared in an interview and talked about the same.

While talking on ‘Out of Character’, Joe Gacy confessed something that not a lot of fans knew before. He talked about how Ava had a plan regarding her role in the promotion. But after she debuted, the company couldn’t find the right time to fit her idea in.

WWE scrapped Dwayne Johnson’s daughter’s idea

Even before Ava debuted on WWE television, she was friends with Joe Gacy. The two, along with one other wrestler had planned to make a group with similar vibes to the 2003 horror film, House of Thousand Corpses, once inside WWE. The idea was to make the group a ‘dark’ faction. Even though Raine ended up being part of the faction, ‘Schism’ alongside Gacy, the male wrestler couldn’t help but mention the real plans they had thought of together.

“So, funny story about Ava Raine. Before I even debuted on TV, me and her got together and came up kind of with this idea of, like a cult-type group. Originally, it was me, her, and this other guy.”

“We were basically pitching for us to be… The original idea was almost like a ‘House of a Thousand Corpses’ type family group, with like a culty edge. Umm but then, things didn’t work out exactly, and then [NXT] 2.0 started. So, I think that maybe changed some of the ideas,” said Gacy while mentioning NXT 2.0 as the main reason behind the change in plans.

Then, he also said that he liked it when Raine finally approached him regarding her joining ‘Schism’ because now she could finally do something similar to what she had originally planned..

Even though her plan was ultimately given to her following NXT 2.0, it didn’t guarantee that the fans would end up liking her. Turns out, despite being The Brahma Bull’s daughter, things aren’t going as smoothly for Ava as one would expect.

Fans complain to Dwayne Johnson regarding his daughter’s performance

In June this year, Raine appeared for the first time on WWE TV for a match. Given her family’s heritage in wrestling, the female wrestler won her first-ever match in WWE. However, fans weren’t quite happy with what they saw on TV. They were not opposing Raine getting a shot at victory during her first-ever WWE match. Instead, fans complained about her wrestling skills.

According to fans, Raine has a lot to work on. Especially considering that she is Dwayne Johnson’s daughter, the young wrestler has a lot of expectations to put up with. In the coming time, we might be able to see some improvement in Ava as a wrestler. More of her dreams might come true gradually, like working alongside Gacy.
