Fans can’t wait to finally treat themselves to the WWE’s latest Premium Live Event, Elimination Chamber, which is just around the corner. This edition of the Elimination Chamber promises to live up to heavy expectations. WWE fans desperately want to see how will Sami Zayn fare against The Bloodline leader, Roman Reigns. An update stated that the Montreal native Zayn was never tipped to win against Reigns. But apparently, things could turn out differently for the former ‘Honorary Uce’.

Sami Zayn was destined to lose at the Elimination Chamber

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the initial plan of WWE was for Zayn to lose at Elimination Chamber. The plan was for Usos to turn against Zayn and ensure his defeat. This act would further the storyline into WrestleMania, setting up a clash between The Usos against Zayn and his best friend Kevin Owens. Meltzer said this was the way things were supposed to turn out. but “a lot has changed since that time“.

Everyone knows The Great Liberator’s viewership skyrocketed in the past few months. Meltzer claimed he became a “major TV ratings mover” in WWE. Therefore, WWE might pull the plug on the plan to ensure a clear victory for the fan-favorite. Nothing is concrete, as of yet. However, WWE fans in Montreal seem to have their bets on one fighter only.

Zayn is the king of Montreal

Zayn drew a huge crowd in his hometown Montreal, ahead of his upcoming Elimination Chamber appearance in the same city. The 38-year-old stepped onto the ice rink, to entertain his fans with some ice-hockey display. He even bagged 3 points for his team, by working with his teammates. Fans were excited to catch a glimpse of their favorite fighter, on the ice rinks.

Despite the immense support, Zayn has a good idea of who he’s up against in one of the most fearsome wrestlers, the promotion has seen. Therefore, only his best shot will get him over this mountainous challenge.
