We haven’t seen Keith Lee on WWE Raw since February. His match with Matt Riddle was the last bit of wrestling we saw from the ‘Limitless One’. WWE seemed to have committed to Lee, but he hasn’t wrestled a single match in four months, and people are asking questions.

Will Keith Lee continue with WWE?

Keith Lee kicked off the year in the grandest fashion possible. He faced Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship in a mini-classic on January 4th. After McIntyre beat him, Lee slipped lower down the card, and it looked like he might challenge Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship.

Unfortunately, Vince McMahon wrote Lee of television and sent him back to the Performance Center for further training. While this wasn’t criminal, certain fan sections viewed it as diminishing of Lee’s talent in McMahon’s eyes.

Speculation began surrounding his future with the WWE, but Lee himself has gone ahead and cleared it up.

Responding to a fan on Twitter who asked the former NXT Champion about his future, Lee said, “Good question. Unfortunately, only time will tell my friend.” What does this mean? Is Lee’s future with WWE coming to an end, or is it only a matter of time until we see him back in the ring?

Upon returning, there are a ton of potential feuds for the former NXT Champion. WWE can build Lee as a potential challenger to Bobby Lashley and could even take the WWE Championship from him. Keith Lee has champion written all over him, and it’s only a matter of which title he sets his sight on.

Lee’s WWE career so far

Keith Lee had an extraordinarily successful NXT career. Within a year of debuting, he held both the NXT North American Championship and the NXT Championship. His run in NXT ended at the hands of Karrion Kross, but it began with an amazing debut.

In 2019, Lee took part in the War Games match alongside Tommaso Ciampa, Dominik Dijakovic and Kevin Owens. The next night, he and Roman Reigns met in the Survivor Series 5 v 5 elimination match, which ended with Lee finishing second to the Big Dog.

The spirited performance made Lee an overnight star, and he won the NXT North American Championship a month later.

Lee defended the title valiantly against Dijakovic, Roderick Strong and Johnny Gargano. At NXT’s Great American Bash, Lee beat Adam Cole in a Title vs Title match and became a double champion. He dropped the NA Title, but defended the NXT Championship, until he lost it to Karrion Kross.

On the main roster, Lee has had some explosive battles as well. He went toe-to-toe with Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble, beat Randy Orton at Payback, won the 5 v 5 Survivor Series match with Raw and almost beat Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.
