There’s only a week to go for the 2021 Royal Rumble, and it is a stacked card from top to bottom. While the card is impressive, there is one match that seems like it has simply been thrown together at the last moment – Goldberg vs Drew McIntyre.

Ahead of their title match on Sunday, the WWE Champion hyped his match and return on Raw with humor.

The ‘Scottish Warrior‘ hyped up fans for his return to Raw with an interesting tweet. He said he will return to Raw this week and Goldberg will be there too!

He took subtle digs at Goldberg’s wrestling skills and the money he’s making. To add salt to Goldberg’s wounds, McIntyre added a picture of Gillberg to the tweet!

McIntyre wasn’t on Raw the past two weeks as he tested positive for COVID-19. WWE did their best to hype up the match with a hilarious Miz TV segment last week where we saw a fake McIntyre and Gillberg, but having the OGs is different altogether. They will be face to face on Raw before their clash on Sunday.

Can Goldberg become the new WWE Champion?

Ever since Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens to win the Universal Championship in 2017, fans lost all faith in WWE’s title match booking. If he wins this Sunday, the entire wrestling community will erupt. But will it go to that extent?

Honestly, you can “Never say never” in the WWE. They have booked McIntyre as a legit World Champion since last year, and a victory against Goldberg will only be another feather in his cap.

This doesn’t mean Goldberg has no chance; if Vince McMahon can sacrifice a top character like The Fiend, then McIntyre is just another World Champion for him. We just hope the WWE Chairman and CEO has learned from his mistake at WWE Super ShowDown and won’t repeat it at the 2021 Royal Rumble.
