It has been forever since Sasha Banks has been rumored to sign with either WWE or AEW. For now, we don’t have a clear answer to which promotion Mercedes Varnado will join. However, several hints point toward a possible re-entry of the former WWE star into the same promotion again. And now, with each passing hint, rumours seem to get more and more intensified.
Bayley recently conversed with Sports Illustrated in a short exclusive interview, hinting at an upcoming future match against Sasha Banks. Since there hasn’t been any news about “The Huggable One” leaving the promotion, this could be a hint at Banks rejoining WWE.
Bayley is looking forward to another WWE match against Sasha Banks

Bayley and Sasha Banks did not sever the ties of their friendship even when the latter left the Stamford-based company to go work in the Japanese pro wrestling industry. In fact, their professional relationship is also cherished by fans to this day and many still recall the TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015. This helped establish a good bond between the two wrestlers that Bayley believes can never vanish.
While talking to Sports Illustrated, Bayley was asked about her views on wrestling her beloved friend, Sasha Banks, and her response was rather wholesome.
The former WWE Women’s Champion confessed, “We’ll always be destined for one more match. Our next match will never be our last. We’re ‘The Brooklyn Girls’. We’re going to live on forever because of that match, and it’s something we can carry on forever.”
When asked about Sasha Banks, Bayley immediately teased a future match that has the full potential of taking place.
After the wrestler has potentially hinted at a possible Sasha Banks return, the question arises about when we can see this match taking place. Fortunately for fans, Bayley also gave us an event to look up to for the same.

When can we see both Bayley and Sasha Banks in WWE together?
While talking to SI, Bayley also revealed that she sees herself main-eventing WrestleMania soon. Since she is the only one out of the Four Horsewomen of WWE who has never main-evented Mania, this year could be her ticket to prove herself. Bayley even confessed, “Only a few people believe it will happen. But everyone will believe it soon,” hinting at the possibility that she and Banks may face off each other at WrestleMania 40.

Since the former IWGP Champion isn’t yet confirmed to appear anywhere, WWE may be storing her as a surprise reveal at either Mania, or ‘The Road to WrestleMania’. Either way, we may see the two friends battle it out in Philadelphia this year.
