The Rock called himself the People’s Champ and had every right to do so. He was an instant star in the eyes of the people. While several Superstars keep switching between the role of heels and good guys, The Brahma Bull never needed to resort to such tactics to stay relevant. In fact, during his time at SmackDown, he was enough to give tough competition to RAW, the flagship show of WWE.

The resurfaced video was uploaded on YouTube 10 years ago. It shows footage of Dwayne Johnson discussing why he wanted to be in the advertisement. The Rock said that the Got Milk Company had already worked with the best athletes and stars in the United States for their advertisements. He said that he had wanted to be in the advertisement for a long time himself. He stated- “rock says it feels great to be in a got milk ad campaign”

The company’s slogan, “The People’s Milk Mustache,” resonated with The Rock’s identity as ‘The People’s Champ’. However, things didn’t go as planned, and the ad failed to bring the reaction the makers expected. Despite this speed breaker in his career, The Rock continued to gain momentum.
