In April, some really big news hit the combat sports and pro wrestling world. The news was out that UFC and WWE will join forces following a merger. Thus forming a sports entertainment behemoth with a total value of $21.4 billion. UFC?s value is $12.1 billion and WWE?s is $9.3 billion. The parent company of UFC and WWE would be called TKO Holdings. But as the merger is almost set to be finalized in September, there are rumors that there might be mass layoffs again.
UFC-WWE merger brings uncertainty to the WWE roster
Endeavor plans to close the merger between UFC and WWE in mid-to-late September. But while the merger sounds like great news for sports entertainment as there will be many crossover bouts, there are also rumors that this will lead to many layoffs not just within the office staff but also the current WWE roster.

As reported by Brandon Thurston of ?Wrestlenomics?, Ari Emanuel, the CEO of Endeavor who will be eventually holding 51% stake in TKO Holdings, made a shocking revelation. He said that as both companies merge, office staff on both might have to be laid off to balance the new workforce.
This all being part of the cost-cutting measures in order to save the companies money. But fans feel that just like in 2020 and 2021, many WWE superstars will also be laid off this time around. Some of them took to Twitter to make some suggestions about who should be fired.
Fans have already decided who should be shown the door
One of the biggest layoffs took place in 2020 owing to losses incurred due to Covid. 21 wrestlers were let go from the roster back then in addition to many writers and backstage staff. Then in 2021, a bigger layoff hit the company in which 80 superstars were told to leave the company due to budget cuts. But this time around fans have got their own ?Layoff Wish List?.

A couple of fans showed their concerns writing, “oh dear?????” and “I’m worried about the good talents!!”
Some fan suggested that RAW announcer Samantha Irvin should be replaced by Greg Hamilton. He said, ?Cut Irvin bring back Greg Hamilton?.

Hit Row definitely doesn?t have a lot of fans as most of them were suggesting they should be fired. The fan said, ?Make sure Hit Row is one of the cuts?.
One fan took a direct dig at Bray Wyatt saying, ?Cutting bray would be save so much money tbh. He doesn’t even wrestle. Has like 1 match and then gets injured.? Another one added Karrion Kross to the wish list saying, ?They should cut Karrion Kross again ??.

Finally, one fan even had the audacity to say that ?Mami? Rhea Ripley should be laid off. He said, ?Rhea ripley go away?, which is likely not going to happen because everyone knows that ?The Judgement Day? is a prominent fixture on RAW.
