Ever since making his main roster debut in WWE, LA Knight has constantly received criticism for his likeness to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. However, the 40-year-old was able to use the WWE icon as his weapon while taking a jab at another superstar, who in recent weeks has emerged as Knight’s prime rival.

On the latest episode of RAW, Knight appeared as a commentator and tore into his rival while completely dismissing his accomplishments in the promotion.

For days now, LA Knight and The Miz are at loggerheads. The Awesome One and Knight had a promo battle last week, where both took matters deep and personal. Not surprisingly, the feud rolled into the August 21 episode of RAW.

While cutting a promo, The Miz addressed the hate he received for Knight’s loss of SmackDown last Friday. Had the 40-year-old won the bout, he would have been the number one contender for the US Championship. But it was The Miz whose involvement led to the loss.

Downplaying his role, the 2-time WWE Champion spoke about overcoming adversity. The A-Lister said he was able to do the same in 2011, despite Dwayne Johnson’s best efforts to run his big moment at WrestleMania 27. The Miz also every champion has that ability to bounce back. This was a jab at LA Knight, who he deemed will never be on his level.

Later in the night, Knight paid The Miz in the same coin while taking up the role of a commentator during the former’s match with Akira Tozawa. “Miz was out here talking about something he did, what 12 years ago, when he was a background figure for John Cena and The Rock,” Knight said.

In case you could not fathom out the barb, The Miz and John Cena main-evented WrestleMania 27, which was hosted by The Rock. Even though the match took place between Cena and the 42-year-old, the 16-time world champion has already initiated his feud with Johnson.

Knight also said, “Good on him. Good for you, buddy. He’s talking about me being a flash in the pan, being a trend, whatever. He hasn’t been a trend in 10 d**n years.”
