NXT TakeOver: WarGames Predictions – Will The Undisputed Era Come Out Victorious?

We are just hours away from NXT TakeOver: WarGames, and the excitement levels are rising for what promises to be another impressive TakeOver from the black and gold brand.

NXT has announced five matches for the show, out of which two are inside the unforgiving WarGames structure. Here are our predictions for NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

1. Timothy Thatcher vs Tommaso Ciampa

The feud between the two has just started in the past three weeks, but this is a match that will surely be rough and hard hitting. There will be no second thoughts in this clash between the two gifted athletes.

Both men are coming off loses from previous TakeOvers this year, so victory matters the most to both of them. The feud has just begun three weeks ago, so it’s unlikely it will culminate quickly at TakeOver: WarGames. Thatcher takes the W on Sunday, Ciampa wins the overall feud.

2. Dexter Lumis vs Cameron Grimes (Strap Match)

Hopefully, the final chapter in this Grimes-Lumis rivalry is this Strap Match at TakeOver. Both Grimes and Lumis have feuded for over a month now, and honestly, we thought it all ends at NXT: Halloween Havoc Edition, but it didn’t.

Even though this Strap match would have Grimes trying to escape Lumis, expect to see some brutal back lacerations on the backs of both men. Although, we want Cameron Grimes to fight over his demons and win against Dexter Lumis. Sadly for Grimes, the chances look bleak.

3. Leon Ruff vs Damian Priest vs Johnny Gargano (NXT North American Championship)

Without a doubt, this is one of the most entertaining storylines in NXT right now. All three men will bring their unique styles and wrestling knowledge to power in this triple threat match.

This North American Championship match will be a triple threat match, making it more difficult to pick a winner. It’s not a 50-50 chance like your traditional one-on-one match; it’s a 33 and 1/3rd of a chance (I hope you’ll remember the iconic promo from Scott Steiner)!

Gargano and Priest have had short title reigns. Although Leon Ruff is lovely to see as Champion, it will be mammoth task defending it against two of the best in NXT.

4. Team Shotzi (Shotzi Blackheart, Ember Moon, Rhea Ripley & Io Shirai) vs Team Candice (Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez & Toni Storm)

This is the first of the two WarGames matches. Well, just thinking about eight of the world’s top women’s wrestlers in the same ring at the same time gets one pumped for their match tonight. Team Shotzi is all set for retribution after all the suffering, sneak attacks, and backstabbing each member has suffered from all of Team Candice.

This is one match that can exceed all expectations, and yes, there’s a spoiler too – Io Shirai hits a moonsault off the top of the WarGames structure (hope she does)!

5. The Undisputed Era vs The Kings of NXT

Ever since NXT has reintroduced the WarGames match, The Undisputed Era’s name has been synonymous with it. The UE Boys won the first WarGames Match in NXT against SAnity, but failed to win the following two times.

Kings of NXT have just come together as a group, but with Pat McAfee’s promo skills, it seems like the group has been strong for long! The rivalry between these two groups has a long history.

Just like the feud has got fans on the edge of their seats, their match inside the unforgiving WarGames structure will be no different. That being said, no matter how good The Kings of NXT may be, there’s no way UE is losing three in a row at WarGames. They can’t!
