The future of NXT Superstar Adam Cole in WWE is up in the air as fans recently learnt about his contract expiring in July. However, Cole signed a short-term deal following Great American Bash which would see him through until late August.
Adam Cole will most likely face Kyle O’Reilly at NXT Takeover 36 on August 22. This could very well be his last match in WWE if he doesn’t end up signing a new deal. Now, reports have emerged suggesting that Adam Cole had a meeting with the CEO of WWE Vince McMahon today.

Adam Cole set to meet WWE Chairman Vince McMahon
The vagueness of the future of Adam Cole in WWE is frustrating news to hear for the WWE fans. The fans see him as one of the most charismatic and talented wrestlers in the company.
Fightful Select suggested that WWE hasn’t yet offered Adam a new deal, and a deal was expected to come in these days. Now, Fightful Select has given a major update and reported that the former NXT Champion will have a meeting with the boss himself, Mr. Vince McMahon, today.

Adam Cole is scheduled to be present backstage at Amalie Arena in Tampa for tonight’s WWE SmackDown to meet with the boss. The details and the reason for the meeting aren’t revealed as the meeting is described as “high level”. There is also no clarity on if Bay-Bay would appear on tonight’s episode of the blue brand.
Plausible suitors circling Cole
There is no denial of the fact that Adam Cole is one of the top superstars in the wrestling industry. Therefore, even if Cole ends up leaving WWE, he won’t be lacking choices as multiple suitors will be in line to get the Superstar signed for their show.
AEW seems to be the one that pops up first considering the amount of ex-WWE Superstars that they have signed for the last couple of months. ROH and NJPW are also some other alternatives for Adam to look at.

But it looks like WWE would eventually seal the deal with Adam Cole. Cole is highly rated among the WWE officials and has a great relationship with the NXT crew. So, it won’t be a surprise to see Cole continue at WWE, and this meeting with Vince could well be the beginning of it.
