“Not That Good”: John Cena’s Acting Ability Given Damning Verdict Within 2 Days of Ricky Stanicky Release

John Cena has been pretty busy lately with the release of his new movie Ricky Stanicky. The 16-time World Champion had made his way to Hollywood in 2006 with The Marine. Although he did not leave WWE, he has been a part-timer since 2018 to pursue his acting career. Cena has given great performances both in wrestling and movies over the years. 

However, one WWE Hall of Famer in an interview voiced out his views on The Cenation Leader’s acting skills. While many think he is a good actor, Eric Bischoff thinks otherwise. His acting skills received a critical assessment following the release of Ricky Stanicky.

Eric Bischoff slams John Cena’s performance

John Cena was in an interview with Howard Stern a few weeks ago. The interview was controversial, with candid responses to tough questions revealing a lot. Now Eric Bischoff spoke up on the 83 Weeks podcast about his views on how Cena did in his latest gig. 

Eric Bischoff did a podcast interview with Conrad Thompson. Eric Bischoff commented on the Howard Stern interview with Cena, confirming that he had watched it.

“Sincere! Very, very sincere. I fell for John. I mean, I had a lot of empathy for John in listening to that interview because there’s so many—I mean, I don’t even want to get into trying to understand it all because I can’t,” said Bischoff. While Bischoff understood Cena’s sentiments in the interview, he concluded that Cena’s remarks led him to believe that he isn’t particularly skilled in acting.

He added, “Like John’s a good actor. He’s making a great living at it. But he’s not that good of an actor.” Despite his belief that the 16-time champion isn’t particularly skilled in acting, Bischoff acknowledges that Cena’s interview was impressive. He also recognizes that acting is Cena’s livelihood rather than his forte.

The Cenation Leader’s light-hearted comedy has been doing fairly well, compared to Cena’s previous acting ventures. So what is the story about? In their thirties, a trio of friends resort to misleading to indulge in their hobbies of gambling without their spouses knowing. 

Their peculiar choice to fabricate a fourth member, Ricky Stanicky, as an alibi raises questions from their wives. To keep up the ruse, they enlist an unemployed actor to take on the role of Ricky, who is played by John Cena, leading to comedic chaos.
