Seth Rollins has indeed raised the bar in professional wrestling. But his success is not limited to the squared circle. The World Heavyweight champion will join one of the biggest media franchises in the form of the MCU. The WWE champion is set to get featured in the fourth Captain America movie, Captain America: Brave New World. That hints at the level of stardom gained by the five-time WWE champion over the years.

But did you know that Rollins is not the only WWE superstar to have featured in a Marvel movie? Well, here you will get to know the five other WWE bigwigs who have been part of the Marvel movies.

Batista in Guardians of the Galaxy

Dave Bautista aka Batista has surely gained prominence in the film industry. Having done so many movies in Hollywood, he has been an integral part of the industry for a significant time. One of his most iconic roles comes from a Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy.

By perfectly portraying the role of Drax in the franchise, he didn’t find the fans walking the plank of letdown. Also, his penchant of adding gravitas and humor to his role came as the icing on the cake for wrestling and movie enthusiasts.

Triple H in Blade Trinity

Triple H stands out as one of the biggest names in sports entertainment. And as the film industry is known to welcome numerous bigwigs from the WWE, Triple H was also one of them. A 2004 film and also a part of the Blade trilogy, known as Blade: Trinity featured the 14-time world champion as Jarko Grimwood. In the film, the 54-year-old does his best to play a vampire who is part of a group trying to bring Dracula back to life.

The movie, however, didn’t receive positive critical reception. Nevertheless, it was the first of the few Marvel movies to feature a popular figure from WWE.

Randy Savage in Spider-Man

While discussing beloved Marvel movies, who can forget Spider-Man? This Sam Raimi’s directorial and Tobey Maguire starer was surely a joyride for the fans. In fact, in the same movie, we could spot one WWE legend in a cameo. He is none other than the “Macho Man,” Randy Savage.

Well, most of us saw him as a wrestler, Bonesaw McGraw, in the movie who fought a teenage Peter Parker. Perfectly portraying the role of a dominant, muscle-bound character, Savage didn’t leave any doubts on the faces of the fans concerning his acting skills.

It might be a minor role for many, but it’s still remembered by the fans even 20 years after its release.

Kevin Nash in The Punisher

Kevin Nash is also one of the biggest names in the history of WWE. He appeared in a 2004 Marvel movie called The Punisher. In the movie, Nash played a vital role as a villain who was known as the Russian. While it showcased a known anti-hero justice seeker in the form of Thomas Jane, it also helped Nash share his villainous character on screen the way he used to do in the ring.

The movie didn’t resonate well with the audience, but Kevin Nash certainly stole the hearts of many movie lovers and the wrestling faithful alike.

Tyler Mane in X-Men

X-Men is one of the biggest Marvel franchises of all time. The film, in fact, featured a WWE great in the form of Tyler Mane as Sabretooth. The character was another antagonist, which was decently played by Mane using his wrestling experience in the action sequences.

Although Liev Schreiber eventually replaced Mane in the character for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Mane originated the villainous part in the 2000 movie. So, we have come to know how numerous superstars have displayed their talent in acting for feature films as well. The wrestling legion remains hopeful that Rollins can add to the list of storied wrestlers who have translated their talent to the big screen.
